PINSEC

    • 1 kilo ground pork
    • 1/2 kilo shrimp,peeled and chopped
    • 1 cup chives (sibuyas tagalog),chopped
    • 1 egg
    • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
    • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp msg ( optional )
    • 1 tsp sugar
    • 1 cup chopped singkamas ( or water chestnuts )
    • 3 pcs Chinese mushrooms ,chopped
    • wanton or molo wrapper

    Take a teaspoonful of the mixture and place in the center of wanton wrapper. Fold in two diagonally. Seal with egg white or water. Deep fry. Drain well. Serve with Sweet and Sour Sauce. ( recipe follows )

    Sweet and Sour Sauce

    • 1/4 cup vinegar
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/2 cup stock or water
    • 2 tsp cornstarch dispersed in 1 Tbsp water
    • 1 Tbsp cooking oil
    • 2 Tbsp tomato catsup

    Combine vinegar, sugar, salt, stock or water and cornstarch. Set aside. Heat cooking oil. Fry tomato catsup. Add vinegar mixture and boil until thick.
